Although albums from Jay-Z, Kanye West, 50 Cent and even Eminem are expected this year, the highest anticipated album of all seems to be Dr. Dre's "Detox." Bishop Lamont, the only other artist on Dre's Aftermath label besides Eminem (as Lamont says), recently releaed a video [watch here] where he says Dre is turning the album in soon, with a single coming in November and the album in December. Dre previously told USA Today back in July [read here] that he was "shooting for a November or December release." Dre went on to talk about the album saying "We have an entirely new thing going with the drums that's incredible, and we're still developing that." Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Nas are just some rappers who have been rumored to be on the album.

Lil Wayne is on it? Shit, that's too bad. And why does the writer of that article seem surprised that people are more interested in Detox than Eminem (people are getting sick of him I think), Jay-Z (big name not much substance), Kanye (nothing he ever releases sounds any different than any other releases of his), or 50 Cent (done)?

Damn so much hype is built on this album that it might under exceed expectations, cause I got some high ass hopes for this album built up by all this wait.

honestly, i won't be surprised if this ends up being his weakest solo album...i hope i'm wrong, but i don't have high expectations for it right now...

personally, i would rather hear a new dj quik album right about now...he's a better rapper, better producer, plus he's dropped 4 times as many albums as dre has...but that's just me...
